Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is a fun event for the students and their families. The campus is transformed into a carnival atmosphere where the children can play games, have their faces painted, dunk the teachers in a dunk tank, and jump in inflatables. It is a fun, magical day for all.
Field Day
Field Day is a family event where parents come and play games with their children. The activities are practiced during PE in the weeks leading up to the big day so each child is successful. Our emphasis is on fun and participation and the smiling faces say it all.
Frisbee Golf
Frisbee Golf is a fun alternative to a “Golf Tournament” in which the students can participate. We practice before the day arrives and each child is placed on a team and grouped with a teacher or parent to complete the course. In the end prizes are given and the students have wonderful stories to share.
Fun Run
The Fun Run is a way to involve students in our fundraising efforts while we promote health and fitness. As a culminating activity to “Running Wednesday”, where the students see how many laps they can finish in PE, we have a “Porter Academy 5k”. Students run, walk, skip and dance their way around the field until they have completed as much of a 5k as they can. Everyone has fun while raising money for the school and getting fit!
Grandparents and Special Friends Day
Grandparent’s and Special Friends’ Day is a fun opportunity for the students to show off their school to their grandparents and special friends who do not get to see Porter Academy on a regular basis. Students put on a short performance and then everyone enjoys a Thanksgiving Feast in the classrooms. It is a magical day to celebrate our friends and families.
Year End Performance
The Year End Performance is an exciting way to end our school year. The students get to perform for all the families and the families get to see how much confidence and pride their children have gained from attending our school. After the program, everyone gathers for lunch and play before parting ways.
